Christmas Programme Schedule

Written by on 22/12/2020

As a certain TV programme would say ‘We have one for everyone in the audience’. Well our one is a programme that you like and a subject matter you are interested in. We broadcast over 100 programmes a week on a diverse and variety of subjects. They come under the headings of Arts & Entertainment, Multicultural, News & Current Affairs, Niche Music, Special Interest, Sports & our LiveDrive Traffic service.

During the course of the COVID pandemic we have seen more people turn to radio as they were either isolating, cocooning or working from home. Our listenership grew to 250,000 in 2020 which is brilliant for us.

We have a near split of talk and music programmes broadcasting. Some of our light entertaining music programmes were a godsend for elderly people cocooning. They brought a sense of calmness to their lives listening to old tunes. Some of our talk programmes gave out vital information to help people during the pandemic especially in relation to mental health. Our community notices provided information on how to avail of services the likes of Dublin City Council or local community centres were providing.

Where else would you get programmes on health, mental health, disabilities, mindfulness, multicultural, community, children, astronomy, environmental, theatre, arts, local film, books, business, start ups, LGBTQ, current affairs, politics, world affairs, travel, crime, motoring, scouts, media, marketing, PR, maritime, traffic, all types of sport and most genres of music all on the one wave band.

In addition we bring you the news of Dublin from Dublin City Council, Dublin Chamber, Dublin Inquirer, Dublin Gazette, Dublin Town among others.

We will be going ‘Off Schedule’ from Christmas Eve until Monday 4th January however we will be  bringing you lots of good music programmes during that time and also there will be a special LiveDrive traffic programme on New Years Day starting at 7am to help commuters navigate any delays due to the start of Brexit.

Our schedule will be changed somewhat too from Monday 4th January as we will be broadcasting LiveDrive for longer periods to deal with traffic should there be delays at the Port.

In 2021 we are looking forward to bringing more new programmes on board. If you have a suggestion drop us a line at admin@dublincityfm.ie. Make sure to check out the rest of our website at www.dublincityfm.ie for our programmes and podcasts.

Thank you for listening and it you have not heard us yet give it a try 103.2 Dublin City FM.
