Classic Movies at RICC - The Quiet Man

The Quiet Man

Each fortnight, RICC shows a classic film on the big screen every second Friday at 2pm. We have enjoyed such film as; Imitation of Life, Madam X and Black Lace. The event is free and tea and coffee are provided. The next film is The Quiet Man on 3rd May. All welcome!

This is a baking competition for adults to test out your baking skills. There are three categories this year: small cakes, large cakes and breads. Judging and prizes for best entries in each category. There will be a tea party afterwards where everyone will share the cakes!

Cliff Diving World Series

Cliff Diving

For the first time ever, the Irish stop of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series will take place in Dún Laoghaire Harbour on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May 2019 from 5pm both days. The world’s elite male and female divers will go head to head in Carlisle Pier in front of thousands of spectators.

This  will be a FREE family event and tickets will not be required. Anyone and everyone is welcome!

Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO Workshop


This workshop has been designed to teach the principals of Science & Maths (STEM) to children aged 7-12 in a fun way. Bricks 4 Kidz provides a unique approach to educational play using LEGO bricks, motors and remote controls. Children explore and collaborate using unique lessons, proprietary model plans and themed learning units.

Quit Smoking

Quit Smoking

A quit smoking support group  will start on 14th of May and run for six weeks.   Sessions will last for one hour every Tuesday.  Participants do not have to be ready to quit smoking to attend, people are welcome to come and get the information before deciding to quit. All are welcome.

South Dublin County Council to provide free sanitary products to tackle period poverty

South Dublin County Council

South Dublin Co. Council in conjunction with Homeless Period Ireland have launched a new initiative to tackle ‘period poverty’. Free sanitary products such as tampons, pads, liners and wipes are now available from the public toilets in County Hall, Belgard Square North, Tallaght (D24 A3XC) , and  Clondalkin Civic Centre, Ninth Lock Road, Dublin 22 (D22 E9X5) . Volunteers are also currently distributing products to Homeless outreach centres, Direct Provision Centres and Women’s Refuges.
