Social media has changed how we engage with books - go into any bookshop today and you’ll see a dedicated BookTok section. It also has more and more people reading and engaging with literature. The panellists will discuss how this has played out in the industry. You'll hear from Bronwyn O'Neill, Booktoker & Digital Editor of VIP Magazine, Niamh Donnelly, writer, critic & journalist and Mick Finucane, co-owner Chapters Bookstore.

Michelle Lynch, Communications, Advocacy and Outreach Manager, National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) and Jenny Murray, Deputy CEO Children's Books Ireland will discuss the ways in which their organisations are working to make literature more accessible to everyone. They will be joined by Kevin Curran, writer & teacher, whose books have been produced both in paper and audio format.

Katy will be joined by Oein DeBhairduin, writer, author & Traveller Cultural Collections Officer at The National Museum, Mariel Deegan is Acting Managing Director of New Island Books and Matthew Parkinson-Bennett, publisher of Little Island Books to address and discuss how to better diversify Irish literature.

Works in Translation: Broadening Horizons

Works of translation and reading more internationally are becoming ever more popular. This event will be a discussion between Declan O'Driscoll, reviewer, Bridget Farrell, founder of Bullaun Press and Lynsey Reed, General Manager of Literature Ireland on this rise in popularity.
